The
Thai Inn grew
out of
George and Noi Guthridge's love of Thai culture, and their love
of entertaining guests.

Located
at the highest inhabited point in the city of Dillingham, Alaska, the
Thai Inn provides quiet, gracious, affordable accommodations a three
minute walk from downtown.
Unlike
some bed and breakfasts, guest lodging is completely separate
from the owner's residences. The building is very large (5200
sq. ft.), with basketball and volleyball courts a stone's throw
away.
The
guest house is a study in gracious Asian living. Much of the furniture
was hand carved in Thailand. Original artwork adorns the formal
dining room and large living room, with a big screen TV, VCR, DVD
player and dozens of movies.
A formal dining room complete with a hand-carved teak dining set
specially made for the Guest House and shipped in from Thailand
is available for guests wishing to enoy formal dining or dinner
parties. The guests' kitchen is large and complete.
In
addition to the in-common amenities, each room has a private
bath, phone, cable TV, VCR, refrigerator, microwave and coffee
maker.
Guests enjoy a complete self-service breakfast, formal and informal
dining areas, freezer space and a free airport shuttle. Free
laundry facilities are also on site.
The Herman Melville,
Edgar Allan Poe and Amelia Earhart Rooms each have
one king bed and kitchens. Rates for one or two persons
are $120 a night.
